Recently, THP completed a study of existing biogas plants and community perceptions and found that with minimal financial input and education, the potential exists to build and repair biogas digesters to dramatically impact the lives of poor, rural subsistence farmers. Biogas is a clean renewable source of cooking fuel that can be generated from leftover organic matter. The “Biogas” project focuses on building, refurbishing and educating communities on the appropriate use of biogas digesters for cooking fuel. We provide training for rural farmers on the ‘soil food web’ and various composting techniques with the goal of assisting their transition back to natural, organic farming methods. The “Living Soil Saves Lives” project seeks to empower individuals and communities to be more self-reliant and regenerate the earth through organic farming methods. We also build-in an element of redundancy to each project, so that one person or group is not solely responsible for the entire project.Ĭurrently THP is working on several projects, both internationally and at home in Cleveland, OH. Additionally, all projects are managed in an accountable, transparent and democratic manner. Therefore, all members of the community are well represented in the management of projects. We seek to create projects which benefit all members of the community, especially women, children & under-served populations. ![]() ![]() Effectiveness, sustainability, reproducibility, empowerment and impact are at the core of our evaluation process. ![]() THP believes in organizational transparency and uses rigorous criteria when evaluating projects which align with our mission statement. Our organization has partnered with several other organizations in an effort to form a collaborative network which reduces cost and amplifies the impact of our sustainability initiatives. We align ourselves with like-minded nonprofits, community groups and individuals in the interest of helping move all of our projects forward, in a collaborative rather than competitive environment. Salma Hayek is Eva Torres, the power player looking to shut down Vinny and Anton, after they leave her firm to go into business for themselves. The Hummingbird Project (THP) believes strongly in the power of collaboration and seeks partnership with individuals and organizations who share a common vision. While Vinny and his project manager Mark (Michael Mando, making a strong impression) are dealing with contractors and shoring up land deals, Anton is combing through hundreds of thousands of lines of code, looking for a way to shave fractions of fractions of a second off the back end. Vinny is the point person on the operation, his cousin Anton (Alexander Skarsgård) is the code writer. ![]() The goal? To receive stock prices one millisecond earlier than the competition, thus earning himself hundreds of millions of dollars. Jesse Eisenberg is all focused nervous energy as Vincent Zaleski, whose plan is to build a straight line tunnel from Kansas to New York through which he'll run hundreds of miles of fiber-optic cable. A millisecond is worth millions in "The Hummingbird Project," an invigorating snapshot of greed that examines how far competitors will go to gain even the slightest fraction of an edge over their rivals in the stock market.
